Collaboration is the only way in which the pain community will be able to make true changes in health care at a legislative level. We are developing the CPC Pain Council to organize this effort. Members of the Pain Council will be chosen from:
- CPC Expert Advisory Board
- Non-profit organizations in the CPC’s Pain Cooperative
- CPC Patient Advocate applications (watch for announcements)
- CPC staff representatives (selected by the Board of Directors).
The members of the Pain Council will collectively decide which direction the CPC should move in regards to education, research, lobbying, etc., and then develop advocacy campaigns to gather maximum support from the pain community, so that we can make a difference in ways that are important to you.
